Over the years Chris has championed the values that are important to millions of parents across the country. The basic skills of literacy and numeracy; a broad and balanced curriculum which challenges and excites all children; a secure, disciplined learning environment in which each child is known and valued: we do not, he believes, need to re-invent education for the 21st century. What we want is what concerned parents have always wanted: teachers who care equally about the subjects they teach and the children for whom they are responsible, who have the highest possible expectations of each and every one of their pupils, and who, obviously enough, can keep order and explain new ideas with a clarity and enthusiasm which captures a child's imagination.
It is these traditional virtues Chris promotes as Chairman of Cognita.
