Cognita announced the creation of its new International Schools' Division in October 2006. Cognita's vision is to own and manage a family of international schools each of which enjoys an excellent reputation in its province.
The realisation of the international strategy commenced in January 2007 when Cognita announced the purchase Southbank International School, London. In October 2007, Cognita announced the acquisition of the Australian International School, Singapore and the British School of Barcelona.
Cognita recognises, understands and supports the diversity found in international education and will protect, preserve and develop the individual atmosphere, ethos and culture of each international school in the group.
Cognita is now in late stage discussions with a number of international schools and groups of schools in strategically important locations worldwide.
